Perhaps you feel the same, but the older I get, the more of a blur each year feels like. How is it already 2023? In my humble opinion, you make your year. You make your year by the intentions you set, the goals you have, and the choices you make. It’s not about unrealistic resolutions that get broken within the month of January. It’s about looking at the bigger, long-term picture.
What do you want to accomplish this year that will get you closer to where you want to be? If you choose to not change anything, then this year will feel no different. It’s all in the mindset.
I’m not known to be much of a poet, but I came up with a short poem to celebrate the new year. Enjoy.
Welcome, 2023.
Another new year, another ‘new me.’
Whatever you aspire this year to be,
May it bring you the utmost joy and peace.
Life’s woes and hurdles will not disappear
Simply because the calendar has turned to a new year
But one thing we can be certain of
Is our continued progress and growth taking us high and above
So no matter where you are in life and where you want to be
Keep moving forward, keep shining your light, and let 2023 bring out your best version of ‘me’.
Whatever your plans are for 2023, let’s continue to practice kindness, love, and empathy toward one another.
I’m trying to do better at planning and scheduling. I already have a headache, but January coaching is done. Now, to work the January classroom…
