Hello beautiful people! Hope you are all doing well. It is a cloudy and rainy Sunday here in the GTA. And honestly, the weather has been all over the map lately. One minute we are seeing mild, seasonal temperatures in the double-digits and the very day it’s literally -12 again with snow! It’s almost impossible to not catch something when you’re dealing with such up and down behaviour. Yes, this is Canada after all, but I don’t recall this much of a yo-yo with weather patterns in the recent past.
This meme has gone viral on social media, and it could not be more accurate. lol

Anyways, looking on the bright side, at least the days are getting longer. =)
The Jays are back – or are they?
So the baseball season is officially underway – and I’m totally invested! lol I went from not giving a hoot about baseball at all, to a passive observer, to an advanced bandwagoner (if that’s even a thing), to an actual ‘all-around’ fan keeping up during the regular season!
However – it has been a bit of a rough start for our Blue Jays. We started out a high note with the home opener a few weeks, but it’s been a bit of a uphill battle since.
As it stands right now, they have lost more games than they have won thus far (6 wins/8 losses). And as we speak, they are currently losing their second game in a row to the Minnesota Twins.
I get it – there are a lot of games to be played before we start talking about the playoffs, but the ‘it’s early’ excuse will not stick after a couple of months. We need to be consistent, and with an injured list growing as rapidly as it has, it becomes that much more challenging to keep your A-game on. But I have faith in our guys. This is a great, resilient team, and I’ll be cheering them on all the way!
As you start a new week ahead, I wish all peace, happiness, and appreciation for the simple things in life. The unrest around the world is rampant but all we can do if find a way to manifest our own inner peace.
It can be easy to get caught up in the constant busyness of our lives, but there is little reward in constantly being on the go. You need to time to pause, reflect, take a few deep breaths and just connect with your inner self.
For example, if you take a walk, leave the AirPods behind. The music or the podcasts can wait. We are wired to constantly be multitasking to the point where we almost forget to just practice mindfulness – to just be present in the moment.
So just take a walk.
Soak in the beauty of nature around you. Allow yourself to sit inside your head and just relish your surroundings. Give your mind a chance to rest.
God Bless.
